Hi! Thanks for checking out my website! I’m Audrey Cottle and I come to this business as a (mid life) career change. I worked for two decades in the human service field, mostly mental health and I firmly believe I was called and equipped for that work for that time in my life. As often happens in the industry, I became burned out for a variety of reasons. One coping strategy I used was my hobby of crafting. There was never a time in my life when I didn’t do some type of craft in my free time. I also have always enjoyed reading and learning in general.

Back in 2017, I started making leather jewelry. By that time, I had a strong interest in protecting our environment and in health and wellness. As I learned about these topics, I also began learning about essential oils. Imagine my delight when I found that some of the leather jewelry I make works incredibly well as diffusers for essential oils! On October 3, 2018, I formally started my first business, ABC Adornments Baubles and Crafts. My most popular products from the start were diffuser earrings and bracelets.

I continue to like using leather because it’s a naturally sustainable material. Products made with leather will last so much longer than similar products made with “faux leather” which often refers to vinyl. I have branched out to make other products such as wallets, card cases, purses and tote bags. When I’m not in my workshop or sewing room, you can find me outside in my garden or inside curled up with a good book and my cat, Cypress!
